AN INCIDENT IN SOME KARNATAKA SCHOOLS, INDIA
In Karnataka, India, recently a few days back, the teachers evaluated the answer sheets of students who had appeared for the school final (10th Std) Board exams. Some students in a school had written in their answer sheets some requests like the following:
"Dear Sir, In my class, there was no teacher for mathematics. A new teacher came just 15 days before the exams and covered all the chapters within 15 days that we were unable to follow. So, please give me qualifying pass marks"
Another student:
As there were no teachers in my kannada medium school, I joined in this English medium school. I could not follow English medium suddenly. So, please give me qualifying pass marks treating me as your son"
Another student had threatened in his answer sheet:
"Sir, if you do not offer me pass marks, I will send evil spirits on you."
Another student had written the recipe for preparing Chicken sambar (A dish in South India)"
Interesting. Isn't it?
