AN INCIDENT IN Dr.ABDUL KALAM’s CAREER THAT PROVES HIS HONESTY!

Once Dr.Kalam visited Salem in Tamilnadu. 

He attended a college seminar.  

A popular Wet Grinder company’s director gifted him a wet grinder.  Dr.Kalam told the donor that he will accept that wet grinder ONLY IF he accepts the right price for that, otherwise, he will return it. 

Then he gave a cheque for Rs.4850 as the price for that wet grinder.  The donor did not encash that cheque for 2 months because he wanted that grinder to remain the gift for Dr. Kalam.

He got a call from the office of Dr.Kalam. They said that the cheque given by Dr, Kalam has not been encashed so far and if the cheque is not encashed, Dr.Kalam will return that wet grinder back to the donor.

After that that company director encashed that cheque as insisted by Dr. Kalam.

This shows that Dr. Kalam did not wish to accept any gifts as it will lead to corruption.  He followed etiquettes of his career and also pseronal life.  He never gave room for others to comment at him negatively.

Have you seen such a principled person?  

We have to support the honest people irrespective of their backgrounds.

Honesty definitely rewards at right time.
